Advantages
Why operators choose the VTS8P ESS
Less diesel
Solar and battery carry the load most of the time; the generator starts only when needed.
Lower maintenance
Fewer engine hours mean longer service intervals and lower maintenance cost.
Quiet nights
Battery-only operation at low load keeps the site quiet near camps and residents.
All in one trailer
Solar array, LiFePO4 storage, inverter and diesel generator arrive ready to deploy.
Solar first, diesel only when needed
The VTS8P ESS is built for sites that need power day and night without a grid connection. During the day the 8 solar panels charge the LiFePO4 battery and supply the load. At night the battery takes over, and the 18 kVA diesel generator only starts when the battery runs low or the load peaks.
The result is fewer engine hours, less fuel and a quieter site, with the same reliability as a generator.
Applications
Where it is used
- Construction site offices and tools
- Remote camps and accommodation
- Events and festivals
- Telecom and CCTV sites
- Rental fleets
- Mining exploration camps
FAQ
FAQ
Can it run without the diesel generator?
Yes. At light loads, the solar array and the 30.7 kWh battery supply the site; the generator starts automatically when the battery needs charging or the load is too high.
Is three-phase output available?
The standard VTS8P ESS is single-phase 230 V, 50 Hz, with a single-phase 230 V AC input. For three-phase output, see the VTS12P ESS or ask us for a custom configuration.
How much power does the inverter deliver, and which sockets are fitted?
The Victron Quattro inverter is rated 15 kVA: 15,000 VA / 12,000 W continuous at 25 °C, with 25,000 W peak. Output is single-phase 230 V, 50 Hz, through one 63 A and two 32 A sockets.
How long can the battery supply a site on its own?
It depends on the load. As an example, the 30.7 kWh LiFePO4 battery can run a steady 3 kW load for roughly 10 hours before the generator is needed. The six battery modules are rated for 6,000 cycles.
Which generator is fitted, and how noisy is it?
An 18 kVA single-phase generator with a Yanmar 4TNV88-BIGE engine and Stamford alternator, running at 1,500 rpm with a 130 L fuel tank. Noise level is 75 dB(A) at 7 m, and it runs only when the battery or load requires it.
How is it shipped, and what are the lead time and payment terms?
Two units fit in a 20 ft container and four in a 40 ft. Production takes 15–45 working days depending on quantity, with a 30 % deposit and the balance before shipment, FOB or CIF.
