With 9 kW of solar on board, the VTS20P ESS covers more of the daily load from the sun than the VTS12P ESS. It suits sites with good sunshine where the aim is to cut diesel use as far as possible.

What is the difference with the VTS12P ESS?
It uses the same 30 kVA inverters, 51.2 kWh battery and 35 kVA generator, but carries 20 solar panels instead of 12 (9 kW of PV instead of 5.4 kW), so the generator runs even less on sunny sites.
How is the 9 kW solar array managed?
The 20 × 450 W foldable panels sit on top of the unit and charge the battery through Victron SmartSolar 150/60 MPPT controllers. The MPPT units are protected against PV reverse polarity, output short circuit and over-temperature.
What battery does the VTS20P ESS use?
Ten AK-B-LV-EH5.0 LiFePO4 modules give 51.2 kWh at 51.2 V, with a cycle life of 6,000 cycles. As an example, that is roughly 10 hours of a steady 5 kW load from the battery alone.
When does the diesel generator run?
Solar and battery carry the load most of the time; the Hatz 4H50TICD 35 kVA generator starts only when needed. It runs at 1,500 rpm, has a 130 L tank and a noise level of 75 dB(A) at 7 m.
How is the VTS20P ESS shipped?
Four units fit in a 40 ft container. Each measures 4,500 × 2,200 × 2,500 mm with the tongue folded and arrives ready to deploy, with solar, storage, inverters and generator in one enclosure.

Yes, OEM branding and custom configurations are available. The product is supplied with CE, IEC and UN38.3 certification, and you can inspect your units at the factory or by live video before shipment.
